Burglary: Thief Breaks in to Washing Machines, Swipes Coins

The unidentified man was caught on the apartment complex's surveillance camera.

A burglar made off with a sack of coins after cracking into three washing machines and dryers in a South Pasadena apartment complex.

The unidentified man pried open the coin boxes in a complex in the 1600 block of Amberwood Drive on Nov. 28, according to a South Pasadena Police bulletin. The incident occurred at 9:45 a.m.

The surveillance camera in the laundry room showed the man to be about 5 feet 10 inches tall, 160 pounds, wearing a du rag on his head, black jacket, dark black sweatpants, white and black running shoes and carrying a purple blanket.
