Camera Catches Thief Stealing Resident's Bicycle

The unidentified suspect pedaled away on a $400 Schwinn that was leaning against the victim's home, police said. A surveillance camera snapped several images of the theft.

A skate boarder rolled down a South Pasadena resident's driveway, hopped on a bicycle leaning against the wall and wheeled away on the stolen property, according to a crime bulletin from the South Pasadena Police Department.

Detectives say the incident occurred about 10:45 a.m. on March 12 in the 2000 block of Stratford Avenue. A surveilance camera captured several images of the thief approaching then pedaling away on the silver and red Schwinn bicycle, which authorities valued at $400.00.
