'Woman of the Year' Deadline Extended
Adam Schiff, South Pasadena's congressional representative, is holding open nominations for his 'Woman of the Year' awards. Each community in his district, including South Pas, will have a resident honored.
Update: The deadline for nominations have been extended until February 29, 2012.
Original Story: Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Pasadena, is accepting nominations of South Pasadena residents for his 'Woman of the Year' award.
The award is given out every March during Woman's History Month, according to Schiff's press release.
There are no specific criteria for how to select a recipient but Schiff's staff wrote that he looks for woman who "through their work or volunteerism have improved the quality of life in our community."
Nominations should be sent to Mary.Hovagimian@mail.house.gov. Here's what you need to send over:
- A written description of the nominee’s accomplishments
- The home address, phone number and e-mail of the nominee
- Your name and contact information
