Laurie Allee to Showcase 'South Pas: Observed'

The popular Patch columnist and photo blogger will display her work at Charlie's Coffee.

Beloved and South Pas blogger, , will be displaying a collection of work at throughout October—with a reception Saturday at the cafe from 4 to 6 p.m. 

Allee is calling the show "South Pas: Observed." And says longtime fans will likely recognize many of the photos adorning the coffee shop. 

"I started my daily photo blog, Glimpses of South Pasadena, in July of 2008 as a way to explore my new hometown. Now, almost 1,200 pictures later, I find that the City is no longer just a subject but a sort of muse," Allee told Patch.

"The architecture, the heritage trees, the families, the sense of history and the feeling of lost time here never cease to inspire me to grab my camera. The photos in the exhibit at Charlie's represent some of the things I love most about South Pasadena."

In 2010, Allee was honored by Mayor Mike Ten with the —the city presents this award annually to individuals, organizations, and/or businesses who promote a positive image of the City beyond its borders.
