Cacciotti Kicks Off Assembly Campaign (Photos & Video)

Cacciotti faces Pasadena City Council Member Chris Holden in the upcoming Democratic primary this June.

With friends, family and fellow council members in attendance, South Pas
Mayor Pro Tem Michael Cacciotti officially kicked off his State Assembly campaign at  Wednesday. 

In explaining why he's running for the 41st Assembly District—which stretches along the San Gabriel Mountain foothills from Pasadena to Rancho Cucamonga—Cacciotti stressed economy, environment, education and energy.

"Help me bring a new future to California," he asked of those in attendance. "Clean up the skies. Clean the air. And bring new technologies to a new California."

Cacciotti, who will be sworn in as Mayor of South Pas Wednesday, will face Pasadena City Council Member Chris Holden in the upcoming Democratic primary this June.
