Oak Tree Falls on Ashbourne Drive (Photos)
Crews were out in South Pas for most of the day fixing the mess.
Residents had an end-of-summer party after a mature oak tree fell on an Ashbourne Drive property around 6:30 a.m. Monday.
"Of course it was an exciting event in the neighborhood. Kids and adults were very excited with the huge crane and the operation of it," Patch reader Tuncer Toprakci wrote. "Some neighbors sat down on their lawns, etc. and watched the activities."
The City and Southern California Edison were out in the area for a good portion of the day removing the tree and fixing the damaged powerline.
