Police Blotter: 6 Thefts, Teen Sexual Assault

A 15-year-old student was sexually assaulted by a male she met on Facebook, according to police reports.

Theft

Between 12:45 and 12:50 p.m. June 12 on the 1300 block of Huntington Drive, a witness saw a suspect attempting to cut a lock securing the victim's bicycle with a bolt cutter, according to reports. The suspect noticed the witness and the suspect quickly walked away without the bicycle. The suspect is described as a 40- to 45-year-old heavyset Hispanic male with a moutache wearing a blue jersey, blue baseball cap and gray khaki shorts.

Around 7:35 a.m. June 12 on the 1600 block of Raymond Hill, a witness saw a suspect standing in front of an apartment complex acting "suspiciously," according to reports. Witness saw the suspect walk to the rear of apartment complex while another suspect stayed in front, acting as a lookout. Suspect one later appeared from complex riding a bicycle. The witness called police, and officers were able to locate suspects. Suspect No. 2 was found to have an outstanding warrant and to be in possession of a stolen bicycle taken from an adjacent apartment complex. Suspect No. 1 was found to be on parole and in possession of bolt cutters. Both were arrested, according to reports.

Between 6 and 8:30 p.m. June 11 on the 800 block of Stoney at Arroyo Park, a suspect(s) allegedly stole a rear license plate from a vehicle.it has yet to be recovered.

A store surveillance video allegedly showed a suspect removing 4th of July posters from lamp posts between May 9 and June 11 on the 1000 block of Mission Street. They have yet to be recovered.

Between 9 p.m. June 3 and 1 a.m. June 4 on the 1200 block of Fair Oaks Avenue, a suspect(s) removed a recycling bin from from parking lot. It has yet to be recovered.

Sexual Assault

Around 9 a.m. June 11 on the 1400 block of Fremont, a 15-year-old female met with a suspect she had met via facebook. The male suspect allegedly picked her up and drove her to Alhambra where he sexually assaulted her, according to reports. The victim then went back to school and later reported the crime to police. South Pasadena Police Officers contacted the suspect from Upland and arrested him.
