1. Author Night at South Pasadena Library 

The South Pasadena Library Community Room, located at 1115 El Centro St., will host an author night starting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, featuring a coffee table book about the extraordinary 40-year career of the iconic artist Bob Peak, known as "The Father of the Modern Hollywood Movie Poster." 2. Cultural Heritage Commission meeting

Mark your calendars: The South Pasadena Cultural Heritage Commission is scheduled to meet Thursday, Sept. 19, in the Amedee O. “Dick” Richards, Jr., City Council Chambers at City Hall, 1424 Mission St., (626) 403-7228.

3. Farmers' Market

The weekly South Pasadena Farmers' Market will be held Thursday, Sept. 19, at and around the intersection of El Centro Street and Meridian from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Come and get your fresh produce and other goodies for the week.
