Board of Education Candidates' Forum, Senior Citizens, Public Works Commission Meetings

1. Board of Education candidates' forum

A public forum to meet and ask questions of candidates for the Nov. 5 South Pasadena Unified School District elections is scheduled today, Wednesday, Oct. 9, starting at 7 p.m. at the SPUSD headquarters located at 1020 El Centro St., (626) 441-5810.

2. Senior Citizen Commission meeting

The Senior Citizen Commission is scheduled to meet today, Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 8:30 a.m. at the South Pasadena Senior Center, located at 1102 Oxley St., (626) 403-7364. 

3. Public Works Commission meeting 

The City of South Pasadena Public Works Commission is scheduled to meet today, Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 7 p.m. in the conference room of the City Council Chambers in City Hall, located at 1424 Mission St. The meeting is open to the public. 

4. Farmers' Market

Mark your calendars: The weekly South Pasadena Farmers' Market will be held tomorrow, Thursday, Sept. 19, at and around the intersection of El Centro Street and Meridian from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Come and get your fresh produce and other goodies for the week.
