City Council Meeting, Convicted Felon Hearing

1. City Council meeting

Mark your calendars: The South Pasadena City Council is scheduled to meet tonight, Wednesday, Dec. 18, in the Amedee O. “Dick” Richards, Jr., City Council Chambers in South Pasadena City Hall, 1424 Mission St. The council will preside over a special "Green Team" study session about the city's environmental initiatives starting at 6:30 p.m. Following that, the council will meet for its usual open session starting at 7:30 p.m. Click here to view the meeting's agenda.

2. Hearing for convicted felon

A court hearing is scheduled early this morning at 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 18, for Alonzo Bernard Johnson, a parolee convicted for attempted murder who assaulted an elderly South Pasadena woman at her home in August 2012. The hearing will be held at the Alhambra Courthouse, 150 W. Commonwealth Ave. Court contact number: (626) 308-5511.

3. Farmers Market

Mark your calendars: The weekly South Pasadena Farmers Market will be held tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 19, at and around the intersection of El Centro Street and Meridian from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. From fresh produce and flowers to food and entertainment, it’s the perfect way to kick start the weekend.

4. Library Closed on Friday
