1. City Council meeting

The first meeting in the New Year of the South Pasadena City Council is scheduled today, Wednesday, Jan. 15, starting at 7:30 p.m. in the Amedee O. “Dick” Richards, Jr., City Council Chambers in South Pasadena City Hall, 1424 Mission St. Click here to view the meeting's agenda.

4. Duffy Hudson perform as George Burns and Edgar Allan Poe

Mark your calendars: Actor Duffy Hudson is scheduled to perform as the celebrated American comedian, actor and writer George Burns on Thursday, Jan. 16 at the South Pasadena Library Community Room located at 1115 El Centro St. The show will start at 7 p.m. following a brief annual meeting of the Friends of the South Pasadena Library. On Sunday, Jan. 19, Duffy will impersonate the renowned American poet Edgar Allan Poe in celebration of Poe’s 208th birthday.
