The South Pasadena Public Library is offering half an hour of storytime for children in a group setting tonight, Tuesday, Oct. 1, in the library's children's section from 7:15 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Perfectly timed for kids's short attention spans, the event features age-appropriate stories read aloud in addition to fingerplays, songs, flannelboard stories, book-related videos and crafts.

3. Walk or Bike to School Day
Mark your calendars: The 10th Annual Walk or Bike to School Day is tomorrow, Wednesday, Oct. 2. Organized by the City of South Pasadena Community Services Department in an effort to promote good health, better air quality and safer routes for pedestrians and bicyclists, the event is part of International Walk to School Month.
