1. Farmers' Market
The weekly South Pasadena Farmers' Market will be held today, Thursday, Oct. 10, at and around the intersection of El Centro Street and Meridian from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Come and get your fresh produce and other goodies for the week.
2. Preschool Storytime
Drop into the South Pas Public Library today, Thursday, Oct. 10, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and take advantage of librarians in the children's section reading age-appropriate stories and sharing fingerplays, songs, flannelboard stories, and book-related videos with children aged 3-5 years in a group setting. 1100 Oxley St. Questions? 3. Spirit Day/Color Day
Mark your calendars: Friday, Oct. 11, is Spirit Day, also known as Color Day, in South Pasadena schools. Students are expected to dress in school colors, orange and black, which represent the schools' mascot, the tiger. This annual event, always held in October, tends to have the greatest student participation. But because it's so close to Halloween, many students also dress in Halloween costumes.
