How About a 28-Mile Bike Ride Along the Arroyo Seco?

1. Arroyo Seco Via

Arroyo Seco Via is a pedestrian and bicycle trail that links downtown Los Angeles with Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley. If all goes well, South Pasadena will be on the trail, too, thanks to the efforts of the South Pas City Council to link the trail to the outskirts of the city by the Arroyo Seco Golf Course. On Saturday, Sept. 28, the trail will be the scene of a fun and festive CicLAvia-like 28-mile roundtrip bike ride aimed at promoting the idea of a protected bike path for commuting as well as recreational purposes. Riders depart from Hahamongna Watershed Park at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains in Pasadena, onward to the Los Angeles River Rally at Elysian Valley's Marsh Park near downtown L.A. The ride is 14 miles each way. Click here to read more.
