4. Screening of Halloween

Mark your calendars: The original 1978 classic film Halloween, filmed in South Pasadena and directed by John Carpenter, in whose honor the South Pasadena City Council recently declared Oct. 31 John Carpenter Night, will be screened on Thursday, Oct. 31, at 7 p.m., in the South Pasadena Public Library Community Room. This is the film's 35th anniversary and tickets are $10 each—all proceeds will benefit the Friends of the Library and the sCARE Foundation. Click here to purchase tickets. 5. Farmers' Market

Mark your calendars: The weekly South Pasadena Farmers' Market will be held Thursday, Oct. 31, at and around the intersection of El Centro Street and Meridian from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Come and get your fresh produce and other goodies for the week.
