Spirit Day, Arts Crawl, Dumpster/Donation Day

Your guide to the weekend.

1. Spirit Day/Color Day

Today, Friday, Oct. 11, is Spirit Day, also known as Color Day, in South Pasadena schools. Students are expected to dress in school colors, orange and black, which represent the schools' mascot, the tiger. This annual event, always held in October, tends to have the greatest student participation. But because it's so close to Halloween, many students also dress in Halloween costumes.

2. Arts Crawl on Saturday

Mark your calendars: South Pasadena Arts Crawl is scheduled to unfold tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 12, along Mission Street and Fair Oaks Avenue from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The idea is to celebrate the city's unique business district and meet local artists, musicians and creative folk.
