1. 'Water-Wise' Landscape Workshop
Fall is the perfect time to start preparing your landscape for changes and upgrades. If you're thinking about trading your lawn for a "water- wise" drought tolerant landscape, make sure you don't miss the City of South Pasadena’s free water-wise landscaping workshop tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 7, from 9 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. at City Hall, 1424 Mission St. The workshop will teach you how to remove your grass and give your yard a makeover with colorful, water-wise plants. 2. Hazardous waste disposal
Do you have household hazard waste such as paint, automotive products, batteries or expired medicine you'd like to dispose but don't know how—or where? What about electronic waste, such as computers, TVs, VCRs, copiers or telephones? Get junk like that out of your garage on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 9 a.m to 3 p.m. by dropping it off at the South Pasadena Unified School District parking lot on Diamond Avenue and Mission Street. 3. SPHS Booster Club
Saturday is a busy day in South Pas: The South Pasadena High School Booster Club’s second annual Booster Bash is on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Molinas, 1311 Chelten Way.
