Best Local Place to Volunteer?

Here are just a few possible options around the South Pasadena area.

1. Pasadena Humane Society. "We are looking for volunteers age 15 and older who love and respect animals. All Juniors (age 15+) and Adults are allowed the same volunteer opportunities from socializing with dogs, cats, and rabbits, helping in our clinic with spay/neuter surgeries, going out with the Mobile Outreach Van, helping in the office with Lost and Found, answering phones, working with our wildlife, becoming an adoption counselor, working with our Behavior Staff, or our Companion Animal Program and Barks and Books in local libraries."

2. Mission Hospice. "Volunteers help by connecting families to community resources through mailings as well as tracking families and the services we have provided. In addition to the office, adult volunteers visit patients and families and offer emotional support."

3. South Pasadena Senior Citizen Services. "Due to the small amount of staffing at the Center, volunteers are utilized for many aspects of the day to day operations.  For example, volunteers cover the front desk, greet the public, take in lunch reservations, direct the public to appropriate classrooms, serve meals, assist with clean up after luncheons, instruct classes, deliver meals and much more.
