Community Organization of Pasadena for Advancement in Education to be Recognized by the Pasadena Mexican Heritage Association

The Community Organization of Pasadena for Advancement in Education (COPA), will be recognized by the Pasadena Mexican American Heritage Association (PMAHA) for their contributions to the Pasadena Community through a bench dedication at the Eaton Blanche Park in Pasadena.

COPA was founded in 1981, in an effort to organize the community of professional women in Pasadena. The members of COPA help disseminate news and information regarding Latina/Chicana issues. In addition, COPA promotes programs, provides resources and financial support through scholarships that will help empower young Latinas to achieve their dreams of higher education. Since its inception, COPA has provided more than 150 scholarships to deserving young women in the community.
