Pasadena Heritage's 22nd Annual Craftsman Weekend!

The 2013 Pasadena Heritage Craftsman Weekend is the premier event of its kind on the West Coast. It will include an exceptional variety of walking, bus and self-guided architectural tours featuring some of Pasadena's landmark districts and the work of renowned architects. The signature event of the weekend is an all-day drive-yourself home tour of five unique examples of Pasadena's extraordinary Craftsman-era homes.

Throughout the Weekend guests will have the opportunity to visit the Craftsman Exposition. This comprehensive show and sale of antique and contemporary decorative arts and furnishings attracts an estimated attendance of 3,000. It is the largest show of its kind in the Western United States, and will take place at the Pasadena Convention Center. More than 60 juried exhibitors will offer antique and contemporary Arts and Crafts furnishings, both Craftsman-era and period-inspired works.

New this year is a lecture and preview shopping opportunity focused on antiques prior to the public opening of the Exposition. The Exposition will also include an extensive Silent Auction with items donated by the exhibitors and local businesses.

The grand opening of Craftsman Weekend will honor John Brinkman and the American Bungalow staff for their contributions to the ongoing revival of the Craftsman Movement.American Bungalow Magazine is focused on preserving and restoring the modest American 20th century home, the bungalow, and the rich lifestyle that it affords.

Craftsman Weekend was created by and hosted annual by Pasadena Heritage. The Weekend attracts visitors from across the country who come to immerse themselves in the American Arts and Crafts Movement that is so wonderfully demonstrated throughout Pasadena, the West Coast center for the Movement during the early twentieth century.
