Construction in Old Pasadena Expected to Cause Traffic Delays

Construction begins Monday and is scheduled to be completed on May 15.

Major construction in Old Pasadena scheduled to start on Monday is expected to cause traffic delays for the next to months, it was announced Saturday.

The work includes replacing the existing 10-inch sewer pipe with a news 12-inch pipe on Green Street. The City of Pasadena has contracted with Excel Paving Company for infrastructure improvements on Green Street from Delacey Avenue to Fair Oaks, and on Fair Oaks from Union to Green streets, according to a news statement from the Pasadena Police Department.

Other major construction includes the reconstruction of intersection curb ramps and retrofitting existing curb ramps with detectable warning surfaces, the installation of colored stamped asphalt crosswalks, pavement resurfacing and the installation of traffic striping and markings, according to the statement.
