Drink Cheap at The Raymond in the Name of History

The 1886 Bar at The Raymond is introducing Parlor Hour named after a room in the original hotel.

Walter Raymond's son Arthur recalls a room referred to as The Parlor in the Royal Raymond: "An area facing a large bay window in the main rotunda that was known as the 'Amen Corner' and a number of cronies gathered there every evening to swap stories, gossip, smoke, and enjoy their highballs." In honor of The Parlor, the 1886 Bar at The Raymond restaurant is introducing Parlor Hour every Tuesday through Friday from 5 to 7:00 pm. Patrons can enjoy the following: 

  • Champagne Punch for $6 by the glass. This punch is usually served for groups of six or more, and includes an assortment of Strawberry Shrub bubbled over with Champagne and served from a teapot. It was inspired from an original recipe served during one of the opening events at The Raymond Hotel back in 1886.  
  • $4 bottled artisan beers.
  • A selection of $5 wines by the glass.
  • A daily special hand-crafted artisan cocktail for $7.  
  • Special TBA menu items by .


1886 Bar at The Raymond is opened 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday; also 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Friday; as well as 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
