Join us in the fight against ALS with JAZZ!

Save the date!  Sunday, January 29th, at 3:30PM at First United Methodist Church Pasadena will host a special jazz concert featuring FUMC Combo, LACHSA Combo, Polytech Jazz Band, Thursday Morning Little Big Band and more, for an afternoon of entertainment in honor of our very own Hajime Miyasaka.

This concert is FREE and Open to the Public supported by your freewill offering. Proceeds and your tax deductible donations will go to support the ALS Guardian Angels Foundation, which supports thousands of patients and their families in their struggles with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or ALS.

Most of the musicians donating their services for the concert are professional musicians (or coached by professional musicians) and credits include Woody Herman, Count Basie, NBC Orchestra, Brian Setzer, Pat Martino, Bernard Purdee, Michael Jackson, and many, many more.

They will be playing jazz from a variety of genres and styles, from originals to standards and classics.

ALS is a debilitating disease which affects more than 5,600 people in the U.S. who are diagnosed with it each year and more than 30,000 Americans may have the disease at any given time.  Worse yet, ALS can strike anyone, without care to racial, ethnic or socioeconomic boundaries.*

Come out and enjoy a great concert for an even greater cause to raise awareness of ALS and help support those who struggle with it every day.
