Patch Picks: 5 Places to See on St. Patrick's Day

Let your inner leprechaun out!

1. Ever so close by, you will find the entire city of Alhambra celebrating in their second annual in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. To participate, simply show up at the Alhambra Edwards Movie Theater dressed in your best green at 6:30 p.m. From there, a bag pipe player will lead the party as patrons parade through nearby pubs, bars and restaurants. Cheers! 1 East Main St., Alhambra, 91801.

2. Over in Arcadia, it’s going to be all about comedy on St. Patrick’s Day. The Joke Gym is hosting six comedies and the blues band “Looking For Trouble”; at 6:30 p.m., the band will begin playing, followed by the comedic stylings of Steve Bruner, Scott Shimamoto, Paula Johnson, Nat Baimel, “Piotr,” and “Courtney Ca” at 7:30 p.m. The evening will feature drink specials, a special St. Paddy’s menu, and best of all, no cover charge! 101 S. First Ave., Arcadia, 91006.

3. Eat like an Irishman at Beckham’s Grill in Pasadena. Their menu will feature corned beef and cabbage, plus a beer menu offering up Guiness, Newcastle, and green beer. Irish coffee is also available! Enjoy it all to the tunes of a bagpipe supplied by Cindi McIntosh. 77 W. Walnut St., Pasadena, 91103.
