SPHS Water Balloon Fight Results in Saturday School

The unauthorized water balloon fight has emerged as a SPHS tradition, reports Tiger Online.

More than 20 students will serve Saturday school over the next two weeks after participating in a water balloon fight that's generated mixed feelings on campus, Tiger Online reported Sunday.

While some students enjoyed the extra lunchtime entertainment Thursday, others saw it as a nuisance.

“This was quite possibly the most exciting lunch all year,” junior Dylan Trimarchi told Tiger Online of the estimated 500-balloon fight.

Other students, however, referred to it as ridiculous.

The water balloon fight began with the graduating class of 2009, according to the school's news website.

“It started off innocent and fun three years ago until last year people got hurt and their belongings were ruined,” campus supervisor John told Tiger Online.
