The Day After the Storm Hit (Video)

Wednesday's windstorm resulted in tons of ancient trees ripped from the ground. Check out this man's video footage.

Sherman Oaks-area resident Ryan Wieber videotaped his ride to work—through South Pasadena—the day after the storm hit.

The result is a sad account of what the windstorm left behind: tons of 100-year-old trees ripped from the ground.

Check out the video and let us know: Did you lose a tree in the storm?

It's almost 11:30 pm, and workers are apparently removing a downed tree behind the house next door. I'm hearing chainsaws. I understand that this is a time of sacrifice, and I guess they need to be working around the clock to get everything done. Still, it's disconcerting to think that I might be kept awake most of the night by chainsaws.

Well, they did continue working, but I was able to fall asleep to the sound of chainsaws!
