South Pas Alumnae Wrap Gifts for Foster Children

Community members, many of whom are South Pasadena High School graduates, turned out at Buster's this week to wrap bags of gifts donated to the Foundation for Greater Opportunities in Learning.

The upstairs tables at Buster's Cafe on Thursday were draped in holiday paper and shiny ribbon, as volunteers worked busily to wrap hundreds of gifts for boys and girls in foster care.

The Community Toy Wrapping Party benefitted local children and adolescents in foster care through the Foundation for Greater Opportunities In Learning, explained Susanne Foulk, the organization's founder and executive director.

Gifts will be distributed later in the week at private event hosted for children in foster care and their families. Included recipients of these special gifts are children from Bienvenidos Children's Services and Dept of Children & Family Services SPA3.
