Coyote sightings in South Pas. But some residents believe there are several new packs in town. Have you noticed more coyotes this season?

Here's what your neighbors are saying:

More Coyotes. Several new family's of coyotes have been spotted walking down the center of Laurel, Spruce and Milan. Their pack howls are being heard throughout the area indicating there may be several new packs. A family of four or five have been spotted living in the wash between Spruce and Laurel with one male estimated at 65 lbs—very large for a coyote. Pet owners need to be very careful when walking their pets and don't let your pets outside.

Tonight at 8:30 p.m., I had just stepped out of my car parked on Huntington Drive (close to the Alhambra road intersection) when I saw a coyote whiz by within a few yards of me. As a small female, it startled me and I stayed close to my car. The first coyote was followed by two more coyotes heading north on Huntington Drive just above the intersection at Alhambra Road. They were running across Huntington, up the center divider and then they disappeared into the west side of the street. I think I know where all those cats from the missing posters are now.
