1 is the mural on the side of the shopping center at Oxley and Fair Oaks. The mural is on the Oxley and Mound side.
2 ??? 3 is the building on El Central between Mound and Fremont on the North side of the street. It's been there awhile. What is going on with that buliding???

1. Mural near the Vons on Oxley Stret.
2. Outside of Radikha Restaurant. 3. I believe I have seen this building is on El Centro, but I can't remember the cross street.

3, I drove along El Centro, had to run some errands. The building is near Fremont Ave, opposite the theater parking lot.

Yes, I think it was called "South Stampadena" and it sold rubber stamps and ink pads for arts and crafts. Not sure what else they sold. For awhile, I think it either was, or shared space with, Kassels Photography, which later moved to Fair Oaks, where the bicycle shop is now.

You guys are good! I'll post a couple extra pics next weekend!

Looks like South Stampadena still exists as an online business. Check this out: http://members.tripod.com/south_stampadena/table_of_contents.html Looks like it's owned by Edgar Castle, who apparently owned Castle's Photography, which was in that building for a time and then ultimately moved to Fair Oaks before closing. I think it may also have been on Mission for a time in between. When I moved here in 1981, there was another photography store on Mission. I think there may have been two photography stores on Mission until Castle moved to Fair Oaks.

Yes... Bob's Photo and Castle's Photography were both on the north side of Mission until Bob's Photo closed (Bob Worswick retired). Castle's stayed on Mission for awhile and then moved... Love these "blasts from the past"!

look closely at power lines above cable lines

If the power lines belong to SCE (Southern California Edison), lines going from a pole to anotherRead More pole - not the ones feeding your home, call them. They are the ones who can help you on this matter.

You can definitely follow specific news! If you only wanted to follow police and fire, for example,Read More click on the News tab on the home page. Then, down the left side of the page are multiple news categories. Click the one you want and then it'll ask you if you want to receive email updates about this topic. Once you do, it'll show you as "subscribed.'' If you follow "Top News'' you receive updates on all stories.

Personally I do not want to get updates on all stories under a given category. It is too bad that weRead More can no longer follow specific stories as we used to.... As it is I get too many e-mails.... I hope patch will consider to allow following of specific stories instead of all stories under a given category.
