Why Are These Trees on Mission Street Dressed So Fabulous?

You might have noticed two trees decorated in fabrics and CDs on the 1500 block of Mission Street. What’s the story?

Lilly, the architecture firm located there, does other forms of art outside of the landscape architecture the business is known for, and the trees were decorated to promote an art show a student was having there a couple of weeks ago.

The tree decorated with fabrics is what owner Liliana Montalvo, calls "yard bombing." She said it was done by the student and that they still don't find a need to take it down just yet.

Next time when you are walking down Mission Street, make sure to take a photo of these unique decorations, because who knows how long these trees will stay this fabulous.
