South Pasadena Arts Council 2012 Spring Mixer and Membership Kickoff

The South Pasadena Arts Council (SPARC) will hold its Spring Mixer and Membership Drive on Thursday, March 22, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Eleven8, 1030 Mission Street.

All artists, performers, patrons of the arts—and arts lovers in general—are invited to attend this festive evening featuring a meet-and-greet with members of South Pasadena’s prolific cultural community, live classical and pop music, refreshments supplied by local restaurants and merchants, and a raffle drawing for artwork, theater tickets, gift certificates and other donated items.

Celebrating our city’s remarkable pool of visual artists, photographers, musicians, actors, dancers, writers, filmmakers and more, the event marks the launch of SPARC’s Spring Membership Drive. All monies raised will go toward the cultural enrichment of our community, helping to support interactive arts projects, visual and performing arts programs, and collaborations with area businesses, local organizations and the South Pasadena Unified School District.

Admission to the mixer is $10. Guests who join SPARC during the event will have the price of their admission credited to SPARC’s annual membership fee: $30 for individuals and artists, $50 for couples, $100 for businesses. SPARC operates under the fiscal sponsorship of the not-for-profit Pasadena Arts Council.

SPARC advocates for and promotes the arts in order to recognize local artists as a rich resource within our city and build appreciation and understanding of the value of the arts within the community.
