Is Your Tween Interested in Acting?

Mutineer Theater Company will work with youth to teach them concepts and skills during the South Pasadena Library's Tween Drama Series.

Shakespeare asked: "To be or not to be? That is the question."

The answer for students interested in drama might be to register for the spring program at the South Pasadena Public Library.

For three Fridays, March 1st, 8th, and 15th, students will be able to work with actors from the Mutineer Theatre Company to learn basic concepts and skills involved in the world of drama.  Two actors from the company will both explain and encourage students to participate in activities which should be helpful for students, with or without experience onstage.

The sessions, for students 9-14, will be 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the Library Community Room.

Mutineer Theatre Company, founded in 2007, is involved with the creation, development and production of original dramatic productions. They perform in venues in and around the LA area.

Students interested in registering for the program should go to the Library’s website at www.cityofsouthpasadena.us/library and click on the “Sign up for Youth Programs” button.
