PHOTOS: Days of Wine and Roses Home Tour

South Pasadena's Preservation Foundation hosted its Spring home tour Saturday and Sunday.

Residents visited historic Buena Vista estate properties in South Pasadena Saturday and Sunday as a part of the Preservation Foundation's annual home tour.

Here's some fun facts about the owners of the homes included in the tour:

  • David M. Family Homestead: The Raabs established South Pasadena's first business, The Oak Hill Diary, and were among the first in America to offer pasteurized milk. David M. Raab also served as a trustee of the Corporation of South Pasadena and several terms as a school trustee.
  • Torrance-Childs Home: Originally named "Rose Hedge," this home was once occupied by a man who founded the City of Torrance.
  • Garfield Home: This was the home of President James Garfield's widow, Lucretia. Charles and Henry Greene designed and built the house, which is across the street from Rose Hedge.
