Patch Blog: Should We Help Israel Bomb Iran?

If you think gasoline is expensive now, you could see upwards of $8.00 per gallon, and possible rationing. And what would that do to our fragile recovery?

From 1920 through 2011, there have been some 48 terrorist attacks against the US, killing thousands.

Ask yourself this: Would any of these attacks have occurred if at the end of World War II, there hadn’t been an arbitrary state of Israel created on Arab land? An emphatic NO.

Where is it written in our Constitution, our Bill of Rights, or any other documentation that we, the United States of America, should be the sole protectorate of Israel. Where is it mandated that we treat Israel like the the 51st state. In what edict passed by a referendum of Americans is it written that we will give Israel in access of $5 billion a year in cash, loan guarantees, armament and other undisclosed uses.

There are those who will argue Israel is our “ally.” Ally in what? How many Israeli troops fought and died in the Afghan and Iraq wars. NONE.

Why, if they’re our ally, and realize the pressure we’re under with the Arab world, for looking the other way with the atrocities committed in the ongoing Palestinian occupation, haven’t they made peace? Even if they had to lose face. Why?

Because every time the Palestinians shoot rockets their way—for which we have provided (for free) robust Patriot anti-missal systems—they use it as an excuse to build out more settlements on confiscated Palestinian land. Some of which, according to Jerusalem newspapers, were financed with American tax dollars through government double bookkeeping.

Israel is sitting on 200 to 300 nukes. We don’t really know, because guess what, they won’t join the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, nor allow IAEA inspectors in to verify their status. Nor do we know what kind of missile delivery systems they have and their range. You can bet they’re the best American tax dollars can buy.

Now Netanyahu is asking the US to start yet another war in the Middle East by helping them bomb Iran. Or, preferably, have us do the bombing for them, as “we have a better military capability.” A venture, given the instability in the region and world oil interests, could start World War III.

I say hell no. If your 300 nukes and anti-missile systems aren’t good enough protection against attack, then go ahead and bomb Iran ON YOUR OWN, WITH YOUR OWN BLOOD. We’ve suffered the loss of life, prestige and honor over you ... long enough.
