A New Look for the Farmers Market

The change came as a request from South Pasadena Fire Chief Jerry Wallace to increase the fire lane.

If you visit the South Pasadena Farmers’ Market Thursday, you'll notice your favorite farmers and vendors in a new arrangement.

The change came as a request from South Pasadena Fire Chief Jerry Wallace to increase the fire lane from 12 to 15 feet to ensure the safety of the farmers, vendors and patrons who visit the Market each week.

And even though the vendor area has been reduced by approximately 1,000 square feet, Market Manager Greta Dunlap saw it as an opportunity to make the market more shopper-friendly.

“It took a few weeks of steady work, but we were able to fit everyone in, and happy with the outcome.” said Dunlap.

A new brochure, available at the Market Information Booth, shows the layout and exact location of all farmers and vendors.
