EVENT HIGHLIGHT: Parti Gras

The premiere event of the summer will be held this Saturday.

Residents can expect a variety of foods from local restaurateurs and a night of dancing at South Pasadena Education Foundation's annual event, Parti Gras. The event, which annually raises thousands of dollars towards South Pas schools, will be held Saturday from 7 to 11 p.m. at .

SPEF counts on event ticket sales, donors and funds raised through its silent and live auction to meet its fundraising goal. It announced May 25 that it reached over $150,000 in valued items donated for its auctions as part of Parti Gras. New items include:

  • A "South Pas Idol" prize package featuring a recording session with a superstar producer along with sessions with a songwriter and voice coach.
  • Five nights in a luxurious condo in Mammoth.
  • A Vegas VIP weekend for four including tickets to see Celine Dion.
  • Four Taylor Swift tickets at Staples.

Parti Gras tickets are $115 per person with a 50 percent discount for educators. They can be purchased online at www.spef.com
