Fair Oaks Driving Reminders
As construction continues at the Fair Oaks street improvement project this week, drivers must adhere to new rules.
With banner pole foundations, handicap ramps, medians and turn lanes being installed at Fair Oaks, drivers should be aware of the following beginning May 2:
- Left turns into parking lots will not be allowed. During the day, traffic will be restricted to one lane in both directions. At the end of each day, two lanes will be reopened for traffic in both directions.
- Parking will remain available along both sides of the street except for case-by-case situations when street poles are being replaced.
- The restricted left turns will be on Fair Oaks Avenue from Columbia Avenue to Monterey Road.
- All intersections will be open. Drivers can access businesses on the opposite side by taking side streets to turn around. There are no restrictions to right turns off of Fair Oaks.
- U-Turns are illegal in a business district.
- The restricted left turns will be on Fair Oaks Avenue from Columbia Avenue to Monterey Road.
Completion for these projects is slated for May 22.
