Fremont Theatre's Co-Artistic Director Earns Rainbow Award

The award, presented to Lissa Reynolds, is given to an individual for the person's diverse contributions in fostering non-traditional and multicultural theatre works.

South Pasadena's Lissa Reynolds has been recognized by the Los Angeles Women's Theatre Festival for her diverse body of theatrical works.

Reynolds, the managing and co-artistic director of the Fremont Centre Theatre, received the Rainbow Award at the Renberg Theatre in Hollywood last week, during the festival's 20th Anniversary awards ceremony, according to Pasadena Now. Danny Glover and Hattie Winston hosted the event. The Rainbow Award honors artists for their diverse contributions in fostering non-traditional and multicultural theatre works.

Reynolds is the president of the California Performing Arts Centre. She has produced and co-produced more than 40 plays, including the Ovation- Recommended production of “Top Dog / Underdog,'' according to the Pasadena website.
