College Advising: Are WUE (Woohee!) Schools for You?
WUE sounds like a college cheer for a reason. What it stands for is Western Undergraduate Exchange, but what it means is low tuition—Woohee! WUE schools offer excellent students from California sweet deals on cost so that they will consider attending out-of-state. Good California students qualify for in-state tuition, or are considered for even larger merit scholarships. WUE schools are located in generally under-populated states that want to entice strong students to earn their degrees out-of-state while boosting the college’s geographic diversity. Your attendance at a WUE school benefits you financially and the school, statistically!
