5 Things You Need to Know Today: Jan. 10

Work out your body and your brain today!

1. If you haven't made it to the for their morning yoga class yet, maybe today's the day! The center offers yoga from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. every Monday (for seniors and adults) and it's only $4! That's an awesome deal, and yoga, good for the body and soul, is a great way to begin your day. The center is located at 1102 Oxley St.

2. Work the right side of your brain this morning during the self-directed art workshop at the Arboretum. Choose your medium and your style, and create your own personal masterpiece while surrounded by fellow artists! Constructive criticism and peer discussion are encouraged. This workshop is a weekly event, and costs $42 for nonmembers and $35 for members. The Arboretum is located at 301 N. Baldwin Ave., Arcadia, 91007. 3. For lunch, why not try ? One part health food store and one part cafe, you can get your vitamins and a bite to eat! Dishes include terrific wraps and sandwiches. They invite you to "come in and enjoy the experience of pleasant, courteous service, quality supplements and wonderful food." Grassroots is located at 1100 Oxley St.

4. The Grandparents and Books Program (GAB) is a great opportunity for children to develop their skills in (or love of) reading! From 3-5 p.m. at the , kids meet with a library "grandparent." This event is held weekly and is free! The library is located at 1100 Oxley St.

5. girls soccer hosts Glendale High School at 3:30 p.m. The South Pasadena Tigers have a season record of 1-3-1 and the Glendale Nitros are at 1-5-2. Come support the girls as they battle it out!
