South Pas Police Seek Child Annoyance Suspect

Authorities say the suspect drove alongside the victim and asked where she lived.

A 17-year-old girl reported that an unidentified man followed her and asked questions as she walked down a South Pasadena street, according to a crime bulletin released Friday.

South Pasadena police created a composite of the man whom the juvenile said drove by her, in the opposite direction on Tuesday, just before 4 p.m. Such an incident could constitute "child annoyance,'' police said.

The girl was walking in the 1700 block of Via Del Rey, approaching Camino Del Sol, when the man made a U-turn, police said. The man then drove alongside victim, and asked her name, where she was going and where she lives. The girl told the man to leave her alone, at which point he drove away, the crime bulletin states.

The suspect is described as male, 20-22 years, 140 pounds, slender build, brown hair, wearing a gray t-shirt and possibly had a Dodgers cap in his possession. He was driving a gray, 2010, Toyota Corolla, 4- door, with tinted windows and chrome silver rims.

If you have any information about this incident, police ask you to call the detective bureau at 626.403.7280.
