South Pas resident and professional photographer Michael Newman died unexpectedly of an aneurysm March 30 at his home. He was 61. Newman was a long-time AYSO referee; his good friend shares her thoughts in this article.

The graffiti included an expletive and was directed towards Assistant Principal Terrance Dunn. This is the second South Pas school to be vandalized recently. Two students were charged on suspicion of felony vandalism at the  last Friday, police report.

Edison released two reports this week—both of which investigate its reponse time to last fall's windstorm. The reports say Edison could have had power restored as much as two days sooner than it did. It highlights multiple areas where the utility can improve.
