Paul Rosenbluh and Monique King, the husband-and-wife co-owners of South Pasadena’s , will serve as experienced mentors to two people who hope to open their own restaurant chain in the upcoming season of the new NBC show.

One year after Women Involved in South Pasadena Political Action (WISPPA) was formed, the group is working hard to encourage women to run for the city’s three open seats in the November election. The group meets monthly to discuss major city issues and pushes for “accountability, integrity, and transparency” in South Pasadena’s city government.

The Place, located in the mid-level floor of  the , is a new place for local teens to hangout after school.

The screened the 2005 documentary, The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill, to a full house on Thursday evening. The event featured a q & session with the documentary’s subject, Mark Bittner.
