The Rotary Club of South Pasadena
announced their annual Community Service Grants Program today. Funds for this purpose come from the proceeds
of the annual Rotary fundraiser “A Taste of South Pasadena” which takes place
this spring on Sunday, April 6. $5,000
will be awarded with no single grant exceeding $2,500.
All non-profits in our region are
encouraged to apply and the application deadline is Friday January 24. Grant
recipients will be announced at the Tuesday, February 11 Rotary Club meeting. The Rotary Club is especially interested in
making awards to non-profits that provide volunteers with opportunities for
community service.
In previous years grants were
awarded to organizations in our area including: the Angel Interfaith Network, El
Sereno Middle School, Friends of the South Pasadena Library, Oneonta
Congregational Church, Ramona Covenant Secondary School, the South Pasadena
Arts Council (SPArC), the South Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and the South
Pasadena San Marino YMCA.
Application information will be
available on the Rotary website: www.southpasadenarotary.org
