Diane Von Furstenberg’s Journey Of A Dress

In
celebration of the dress that started it all, DVF is pleased to announce the
opening of the Journey of a Dress Exhibition in Los Angeles on Saturday,
January 11th. In a year that marks the 40th anniversary of the wrap
dress, the exhibition will feature a retrospective of vintage and contemporary
DVF designs, chronicling the journey of a dress across four decades—from the
first sample to a world-renowned symbol of power and freedom for entire
generations of women. The exhibition also includes portraits of designer, muse,
and collector Diane von Furstenberg by celebrated artists such as Andy Warhol,
Chuck Close, Francesco Clemente, Helmut Newton, and Annie Leibovitz, as well as
new pieces from Dustin Yellin and other contemporary artists.

The
exhibition will be open to the public from January 11, 2014 through April 1,
2014.
