Community Corner

Film screening of My Mother's Voice

A free screening of the 25 minute film, MY MOTHER'S VOICE, will be on Thursday, May 16 at the So. Pasadena Library Community Room, 1115 El Centro Street, So. Pasadena.

It is the story of the author's mother, Flora Munushian, who at age 14 was deported from her home during World War I. Her story brings an epic chapter in Armenian history to life and takes it to heart. Flora's voice is that of all the victims and survivors of the Armenian Genocide, a story that must not be forgotten.

"I am my mother's voice," says author Kay Mouradian, "and this is her story." Doors open at 6:30 and refreshments will be provided.
