Experience a Japanese Tea Ceremony at the Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden

The Japanese tea ceremony is a sacred practice that embodies harmony, respect and tranquility. This Open Day, May 25th, you can experience the Way of Tea in the exquisite teahouse of the Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden.


Mikko Nakatomi will demonstrate the ceremonial preparation and presentation of Japanese tea for you and explain the meaning behind the time-honored rituals.


Tea ceremonies will take place at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Space is limited and reservations are necessary. See details for admission and tea ceremony reservation on the website at: www.japanesegardenpasadena.com.

Open Day is from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Admission is $7.50 with a reservation and $10.00 at the gate; cash or checks only please (children 12 and under are free.) The garden is wheelchair accessible.
