Rediscover the Magic of Reading at The Shops at Montebello's Book Blast

Simon Property Group, Inc. (NYSE:SPG), a leading global retail real estate company, invites Los Angeles-area kids and parents to join Simon Kidgits Club® at its free annual Book Blast event meant to help families get inspired to read together at home and beyond. The special story time at The Shops at Montebello will take place on Saturday, February 15, from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Center Court, and will feature special guest appearances, crafts, giveaways, and more.

“We’re celebrating books, and all that they inspire,” said Marida Petitjean, Director of Marketing and Business Development at The Shops at Montebello. “Whether on an iPad, with a library book, or a lift-the-flap version, books are fun! All while supporting the learning process, with the added bonus of family bonding.” 

In addition enjoying a face painter and balloon artist, children will have the opportunity to participate in interactive crafts such as making their own Dr. Seuss hat. Build-A-Bear Workshop, Claire's Accessories, The Disney Store, Crazy 8, X-Treme Toys, Baby Shop and Wetzel’s Pretzels will all be on hand for the celebration. The YMCA of Montebello-Commerce, the City of Montebello Parks and Recreation and other special guests are confirmed to participate as well.

The Simon Kidgits Club is a fun and informative program that focuses on health, wellness, education, safety and entertainment for children ages 3-8. Since 2003, the Simon Kidgits Club has kept children and parents alike amused with various events and activities while providing incentives for club members, such as special offers, rewards and games.
