The Pasadena-Altadena Links to Host Gala Celebrating 50 Years of Leadership and Service

On Sunday December 8, 2013 the Pasadena-Altadena Links Inc. will host their Golden Anniversary Gala at the historic Langham Huntington Hotel celebrating 50 Years of Leadership and Service. Eight-time NAACP Image Award nominee Vanessa Bell Calloway will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies.

The luncheon will feature greetings from Western Area Links Leadership, milestone dances from the 60’s through 2000s, delectable luncheon fare and mingling.

“Our 50th Anniversary provides us with the opportunity to celebrate our award winning service programs such as the Links-Up for Success: Connecting Through Mentoring” which provides one-on-one mentoring and workshops for high school young ladies and their parents with an emphasis on scholarship. ” – stated Gala Co-Chairs Jacqueline Howard and Diane Scott.

The membership consists of 12,000 professional women of color in 274 chapters located in 42 states, the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.
