Patch Blog: Where's the Best Food in Town?

I thought I would ask the informed South Pasadena Patch members to clue us in on the good eats in and around our new digs. Our stomachs await.

Hi South Pas Patch readers,

My wife, son and I recently moved to South Pasadena, and we're slowly getting more familiar with the area and where to do our shopping and dining. We love so many things about this community, not to mention the friendly small town feel.

We are self-proclaimed "foodies" who have traveled extensively and are adventurous eaters. We will walk the beaten patch as well as the unbeaten path to find new places for food. How great is it that we can take the Gold Line to the Grand Central market downtown to my son's favorite taco stand or conveniently pick up things at the Thursday right here in South Pasadena?

Our 2.5 year-old-son was allergic to a host of the more common allergens, not to mention his inability to sit still, so we had to curtail our eating adventures for awhile, but he's now able to eat more and more foods and remain in his seat for almost a complete meal so we are very keen to find some new places to eat.

We have tried a number of restaurants in the area so far and the notables in SP so far have been fish burrito and for French, for Italian. in Highland Park, Pho 79 in Alhambra for Vietnamese.
